We kick off each day with a welcome coffee from 08:30 in the Infirmerie, right next to room Lemaire.
If you haven't picked up your badge yet, you can collect it, together with course materials, in the back of room Lemaire.
We manage the program through Sched, which allows you to consult the program online, through the mobile site, or in your calendar. If you configure your own program on the Sched website, they'll send you daily mails with your planned sessions.
Handouts of the slides are added to the session descriptions on Sched.
We really care about the quality of the course, and are always looking for feedback and potential improvements. Use the links below to access the daily evaluation forms.
During the closing ceremony, we will hold a raffle to award books to participants that filled out the evaluation. One security-related book per day, so make sure to fill out all of the evaluation forms.
The venue provides wireless internet in both conference rooms. You can find the credentials for the network on your badge.
The venue has plenty of parking available. You need a code to enter the parking lot. You can find the right code on your badge, and in the mail with practicalities.
Groot Begijnhof 14
The main entrance for the Faculty Club is indicated in red on the Google map below, and travel instructions can be found here.
SecAppDev runs two parallel tracks, which will take place in room Lemaire in the main building (green on the Google map) and room Van Hamaele in the Convent van Chievres (blue on the Google map). Switching between buildings is a walk of a few hundred meters, as shown on the enclosed image. Coffee breaks and lunches are provided in the Infirmerie, the large room right next to room Lemaire, in the main building.
If you have trouble locating a room, do not hesitate to ask the organizers or the Faculty Club staff for directions.
In good tradition, SecAppDev co-organizes an OWASP chapter meeting, an evening filled with Web security enthousiasts. This year, we have Matthew Smith and Barry Dorrans presenting their work. The OWASP chapter meeting starts at 18:15 with sandwiches, and takes place at the KU Leuven Department of Computer Science in Heverlee (marked in yellow on the Google map). If the weather is nice, walking to the venue is recommended, since it takes you right through one of the university's parks.
The joint course dinner takes place on Thursday evening at 19:00, in restaurant 't Zwart Schaap, Boekhandelstraat 1, Leuven (orange marker on the Google map). If you would like to attend, please register at the registration desk on Monday.
The restaurant is within walking distance from the Faculty Club. It's very likely that there will be ad-hoc arrangements to grab a drink before dinner. Feel free to take the initiative on this :)
